A practical companion for choosing and replacing household appliances in Australia, starting with the fridge.
Most fridge-buying mistakes are about space: a fridge that’s a few millimetres too wide, doors that can’t open next to a wall, or a vent gap nobody measured. Home Appliances starts there. The fridge finder checks models against the manufacturer’s own installation figures, shows where each figure comes from, and tells you plainly what still needs checking.
What we believe
- Traceable over complete. We list 52 models today because we could trace every installation figure to a manufacturer’s document. We’ll add more the same way.
- Unknown is not zero. Missing information is shown as missing, never as a pass.
- Independent ordering. Commercial arrangements, if we ever have them, will never change which models appear or their order. See the disclosure.
- No account needed. The finder works without sign-up, and your measurements stay on your device.
What’s next
We plan to add more fridge brands first, then laundry and dishwashers, each with its own fit rules and running-cost method. Later we may help you keep track of the appliances you own. We’ll only add these once the fridge finder proves useful.
Who we are
Home Appliances (homeappliances.au) is owned and operated by Pacific Fund. We don’t sell appliances, and we haven’t tested the fridges listed here. You can reach us through the contact form.
